The "children" are in the street

If one can’t make their point with facts and persuasion, those of a small mind resort to a “big voice.”  Those with a big voice overpower the people with visceral verbal responses and drown out those who speak quietly, who rely on facts and good sense to be persuasive.   If you can’t win them over with facts, then yell them into submission.  Donald Trump has a big voice.   

Sometimes, just sometimes, you do have to yell to make your point.  Like, if your child is about to walk into a street and you can’t get to them in time, you scream at them to warn them of oncoming danger.  If you’re standing on the curb, and no trucks or cars are coming, you don’t scream at them to win them over; you quietly tell them of the possible dangers.  You tell children the flame is hot, but when you are not looking, they touch it and burn themselves.  But they learn from it.   Children are too naïve and unaware for parents to get them to understand all the dangers and what not to do by just speaking the facts or the benefits of good behavior.  Sometimes, you just have to say "No" to children.  Sometimes, the children step into the street.

I think we have reached the point where the "children" are in the road.  It’s time to yell.

Those who follow Trump only hear the voice, the Big Voice.  His MAGA followers don’t hear the words, they don’t understand the meaning, they are “in the road,” and they are about to be run over by lies and deceit.  And if the “car” is not stopped, they, along with the rest of us, will be run over by Trump driving the “car of autocracy.”  Trump’s unfitness for the Office of The Presidency is so “in one’s face” that those who refuse to acknowledge it are either small of mind, small of education, or small of manhood.

The 2020 election was not stolen, and anyone who says otherwise is just plain ignorant--plain and simple.  And if your argument for the steal is based on “I saw the movie 22 Mules,” then please, just put your head back in the sand.  Trump is a convicted sex offender, convicted of financial fraud, convicted of civil fraud, bankrupt three times, stole national secrets, gave Top Secret information to the Russian Ambassador, defamed war heroes, insulted wounded veterans, pardoned friends and murderers, intimidated witnesses in upcoming trials, and is currently facing 91 felony charges in federal and state court.  His friends and closest allies include Rudy Giuliani, convicted of defamation; Peter Kent Navarro, convicted of contempt of court; Kenneth Chesebro and Sidney Powel, who pleaded guilty to conspiring to intentionally interfere with the performance of election duties, and Mark Meadows; the coward of the county.

This election will not be about the issues; it will be all about the survival of our Democracy.  Trump is a self-professed autocrat, who, by his own words, said he would be a dictator on Day one and is set to dismantle the structure of the United States for the sole purpose of getting and keeping power. 

I won't say the MAGA followers are “children,” as children have more sense than these people – at least when they touch the flame and get burnt, they learn.  If you are a MAGA member, please watch more than FOX News.  There are two camps of MAGA followers, the “I am ignorant of all Trump’s failings” or “I am completely aware of them, and I don’t care.”  Either one is pitiful.  Rest assured, I and others will not rest in the fight against him. 

I love my children and grandchildren without reservation, and I will fight—with words and my vote—to ensure they have the privileges of America. What will you do? 

Trump is a man without honor.  The Office of The Present of the United States is all about integrity and honor.  And the rest is just crap.  Thus ends the lesson.
